1. Re: Can anybody tell me how to resize the Index/ TOC pane on a Webhelp Pro generated project?
Peter Grainge Aug 28, 2014 12:13 AM (in response to dpetra13)You will find the answer here for webhelp, not sure if it works for webhelp pro.

2. Re: Can anybody tell me how to resize the Index/ TOC pane on a Webhelp Pro generated project?
Jeff_Coatsworth Aug 28, 2014 5:15 AM (in response to dpetra13)Just to confirm – you’re generating WebHelp Pro because you’re hosting it on a RH Server instance, right? If not, then the “Pro” flavours are not designed for you; use the “regular” types of output.

3. Re: Can anybody tell me how to resize the Index/ TOC pane on a Webhelp Pro generated project?
dpetra13 Aug 28, 2014 5:08 PM (in response to Jeff_Coatsworth)Jeff:
Yes, if SharePoint counts as a Robohelp server.
If it's possible to use just Webhelp and still house the project on SharePoint and still have the ability to check-in and out amongst different users, Webhelp will be fine. Does using plain Webhelp v Webhelp Pro make a difference when trying to resize the pane?
Thank you,
Dave

5. Re: Can anybody tell me how to resize the Index/ TOC pane on a Webhelp Pro generated project?
Peter Grainge Aug 29, 2014 1:26 AM (in response to dpetra13)RoboHelp Server is software that sits on a web server and has nothing to do with Sharepoint. RoboHelp can use Sharepoint for source control but that is a very different thing.
It sounds to me like you want Sharepoint for source controlling your projects and then simply want to output WebHelp (not Pro) to a web server.

6. Re: Can anybody tell me how to resize the Index/ TOC pane on a Webhelp Pro generated project?
Jeff_Coatsworth Aug 29, 2014 5:46 AM (in response to dpetra13)@dpetra13 – as Peter says RH Server is a completely different product than SharePoint. All the “Pro” outputs in RH are designed to work specifically with RH Server in several hardcoded ways. They are not recommended for use with non-RH Server installs. Unfortunately, people see “Pro” and think that it’s somehow it’s got to be a much better solution – several of us have been lobbying for a name-change for a while now to stop misleading people.

7. Re: Can anybody tell me how to resize the Index/ TOC pane on a Webhelp Pro generated project?
John Daigle Aug 29, 2014 9:21 AM (in response to Jeff_Coatsworth)Hi, Dave
For the record and in case someone else comes along to view this thread, I want to say that, Yes, you can use Rick's Skinny on Skins edits to adjust the Navigation Pane width of the WebHelp Skin and it will be rendered in RoboHelp Server as expected.
I have done this successfully.
It should be noted that the browser landscape is always in motion and you will want to test the output to make sure it is rendering the way you want it. As well, apply any RoboHelp and Server updates as they keep up with the new browser changes.
- RoboHelp Service Releases
- RoboHelp Server Issues resolved through update 9.0.1
All of this is notwithstanding the good points Peter and Jeff made about Sharepoint and clarifying whether you were publishing to a RoboHelp Server or a conventional web server.
Thanks

dpetra13 Sep 9, 2014 3:37 PM (in response to Peter Grainge)Hi Peter:
Thank you very much! Tried it this morning on a test project and the was able to change the pane size by opening the skin with notepad and changing the column width from 220 to 450 with the desired results. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!

10. Re: Can anybody tell me how to resize the Index/ TOC pane on a Webhelp Pro generated project?
dpetra13 Sep 9, 2014 3:41 PM (in response to Jeff_Coatsworth)John, it's on SharePoint and we would like for different users to be able to open the project simultaneously and work on topics not checked out by other users (that is an issue, too) but, the Skinny on Skins article worked as it said it would.
Thank you,
dave
