1. Re: I restored my Mac from a time machine backup. Now Dreamweaver bounces in the dock but doesn't launch. What do I do?
Jon Fritz II Aug 28, 2014 5:43 AM (in response to BalletMom)I would try clearing the program cache and restoring preferences...
Deleting a corrupted cache file
Restore preferences | Dreamweaver CS4, CS5, CS5.5, CS6
If neither work, reinstalling using the Cleaner Tool will normally get you up and running...
Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6

BalletMom Aug 29, 2014 6:27 AM (in response to Jon Fritz II)Thank you, those are great ideas! But my problem turned out to be different and much simpler from the sort of thing I expected and your solution would solve. I didn't TOTALLY restore my Mac from backup. The tech at the Apple store recommended re-installing the OS from a fresh version, and then all my software and files from my time machine. So that's what I did. I didn't remember that Mavericks does not include Java runtime, and I never realized that some of my Adobe products require it. downloaded and installed Java, and now my Adobe products are working as expected.
