Motion path with a perfect circle

I maybe missing the obvious here.. but how does one simply attach an object to something like an eclipse?

I know I can draw a motion path but it's not a perfect circle.

Help!

Not sure what you want to do. If you want to move an object in a circle motion, you can for example move its origin off and then use rotate. It will move in a perfect circle.
maybe you can give us more information on what you are trying to accomplish.
