Can you see InDesign CC 2014 in the "Products" panel of Extension Manager CC? Have you updated Extension Manager CC to 7.2.1?
Yes to both
I guess it specified the product name as "InDesign", so it only supports InDesign 32 bit on Windows and InDesign Mac, InDesign 64 bit is not supported. You can unzip it and check the mxi file.
Used the 64bit version before CC 2014 as well so don't think that's the issue. Here is the text in the .mxi file if I have missed something:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="no"?>
<macromedia-extension id="PrintUI Tools" name="PrintUI Tools" requires-restart="true" version="3.0.0">
<product maxversion="" name="InDesign" primary="true" version="7.0"/>
<file destination="" file-type="CSXS" products="" source="PrintUIManagement.zxp"/>
The root cause is what I said in last post. The product name of InDesign 64 bit on Windows is "InDesign64". So it will not be installed for ID 64 unless you change name="InDesign" to familyname="InDesign".
I can't understand why the extension author packages only one CEP extension into this hybrid extension. If PrintUIManagement.zxp is the only file in the mxi file, it is unnecessary to create the hybrid extension. I guess the only reason is to support auto update. Actually, you can install PrintUIManagement.zxp directly (it is in the same folder as mxi file), it will be installed for ID 64 bit and do the same work as the hybrid one. But it can't be auto updated.
