btw, the problem seems to be in opening tif files that I have applied adjustments to in Lightroom. If I try to open a RAW file with LR adjustments, those open fine.
in windows go to Edit>>preferences>external editing and set to PSD instead of tiff. You might check other settings while there
the other question; umm I don't have PS atm and I forget the actual wording when sending files to PS but it's not the most obvious
Just experiment by selecting the different options. LOL I have click it a 1000+++ times but...........
Someone will have the answer. I will go through my falling apart scot kelby lightroom book for the proper answer and post it later
the words i was thinking of was "render in Lightroom".
Julieanne has some other great LR-PS tips also. some new to me so I will better look again
hope that helps
Actually, my external editing preferences are already set to psd. It's not about that. The original image that I'm trying to edit is a TIF. I have a TIF file already in Lightroom. When I try to open that TIF file in Photoshop, it won't apply the LR adjustments. I do this all the time, and normally it works fine, just there seems to be a bug so that sometimes Lightroom won't open it with the LR adjustments applied. Anyway, after shutting down my computer last night and reopening it, it's now working. I guess restarting my computer yesterday wasn't enough - I actually had to shut down. Anyway, this is a call to Adobe to fix this occasional bug!!!
