Thank you Eugene for your reply !
I would be very, very, very careful in any “purchases” of such old versions from Amazon or elsewhere!
Even though Eugene gave you a pointer to Amazon, there is software that Amazon directly licenses from Adobe, there are reliable partners for whom Amazon serves as a storefront, and then there are various channels selling through Amazon that are no more reliable than some of the shady characters you may encounter on Craig's list or eBay!
In the case of these copies available on Amazon, one is an academic version for PowerPC Mac which unless you are a qualified for use of an academic version and can present that evidence to Adobe, might be totally useless. Another is “open box, like new” for which there is no evidence that it has not previously been activated and registered to someone else.
A better question is why you need such an old version? Unless you have really ancient hardware, such software is effectively useless.
Too true Dov, I should have made that clearer.
Thank you Dov for your reply.
A new assistant will soon work with me. I would like to install Indesign on an other PC.
I don't want to pay for the new version CS6 for two persons. Indesign CS does the job !
InDesign CS6 would be a one off payment, and even that is not the newest version.
InDesign CS 3.01 is no longer supported by Adobe, any issues you get while using the software and customer care wouldn't support your case.
I agree with you Eugene, but 950 euros for CS6...
With the creative cloud it's €24.59 a month
That's on €295 per year
€600 a year for both of you.
And it ensures you are always on the latest version of InDesign, getting all the great enhancements to the program as it develops through the years.
To be honest, €600 a year is a solid price for staying in business.
Well that is frustrating!
