1. Re: Can LR Export to a Custom Color Working Space?
ssprengel Aug 28, 2014 1:37 PM (in response to Lou Dina)“Precision of Language”: are you using Edit In or Export?
What colorspace are you wanting to select and what versions of PS and LR are you using?
Guessing what at what you might being asking, I think the answer in general is No, but there may be a workaround so that what you’re wanting to do isn’t necessary.

Lou Dina Aug 28, 2014 1:42 PM (in response to ssprengel)Thanks, ssprengel.
I'm on a MacPro running OSX 10.8.5. PSCS6 (v13.0.6), LR 5.6.
Yes, I want to "Edit In" Photoshop CS6 and have my RAW DNG file open in Beta RGB working space. I'm considering other working spaces as well.

Lou Dina Aug 28, 2014 1:57 PM (in response to Lou Dina)ssprengel...
You answered my question indirectly. The answer is to Export to Beta RGB and tell it to open in PSCS6 after export. I didn't think of using the Export feature. That works for me.

4. Re: Can LR Export to a Custom Color Working Space?
ssprengel Aug 28, 2014 2:44 PM (in response to Lou Dina)If you are using Edit in from LR 5.6 to PS-CS6 with ACR 8.6 then the only colorspace would be in Photoshop, right?

Andrew Rodney Aug 28, 2014 4:32 PM (in response to Lou Dina)Lou Dina wrote:
As far as I know, LR can only open RAW files into Photoshop using sRGB, Adobe RGB or ProPhoto RGB.
Is there a way to add different RGB working spaces to that short list so the file opens in a different working space?
No, it would be useful if you could select any working space like you can in Export. But if you wanted to use BetaRGB and Edit in, you could select ProPhoto RGB, then in Photoshop, set your Color Settings to Convert to Working RGB, specify BetaRGB and turn OFF the profile mismatch warnings. Photoshop would convert as it opens the file to BetaRGB from ProPhoto which is basically what Export is doing (there is a difference in the gamma).

Lou Dina Aug 28, 2014 7:41 PM (in response to Andrew Rodney)Thanks Andrew.
That is another option that works. I appreciate the response. Now I have two methods that will accomplish what I want.
