    preserving dynamically added movieclips

    yellowfry
      Hi,

Does anyone know how to preserve dynamically added movieclips when the user skips back to an earlier part of the movie? They stay on screen if the movement is forward, but if the user is allowed to jump back to an earlier part of the movie they disappear.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

      Thanks,

dynamically created objects remain until they are removed dynamically unless they have a parent that an ancestor that was not created dynamically and that ancestor fails to exist.

so you most likely are attaching movieclips to a parent movieclip and that parent fails to exist when you go to an "..earlier part..." of your movie.
