I was wondering if anybody else is having this issue.
Recently, in the studio I work in, we all switched to CC2014 from CC and CS6. However, since this upgrade, we have been noticing that InDesign files having been saving into a different location than they should be. By this I mean that we are saving them into the correct folder but when we go to find them again, they are not there and are located somewhere else on the server.
Right now, I am trying to work out if it is the Adobe software or the server.
Thanks in advance.
are you using MAC or Windows machines? also what is your server Xserve, MS, Linux ?
this is not an Adobe issue--it's a server/workflow issue
Are you certain you are saving where you think you are? When you open a legacy file in a new version of ID it appends [Converted] to the file name and treats it as a new file so you cannot accidentally overwrite the original. As a new file, when you first save you should be presented with a Save As dialog, and the folder that comes up by default is the last folder where you did a Save As operation, not necessarily the folder where you originally saved the document.
