Only Canon is supported for multiple camera attachments.
"Notes on Nikon cameras
For all Nikon cameras:
- If you trigger the shutter with the tether bar capture button, the image must finish downloading before another photo can be captured. Triggering a capture with the shutter release button on the camera does not have this limitation.
- Images do not save to the compact flash card. They are only downloaded to the computer.
- Only one Nikon camera can be attached at a time.
Yes, I have 2 EOS 600D cameras connected, but Lr recognizes just one camera at the time. Both have the same firmware, same settings. I tried different copyright and author info, different setings, restarting everything million times and so on. Lr is still not able to recognize more than one device.
The reason for using Canon cameras waas exactly because I found info that only with this brand multiple tethering is possible
My bad. I misread 600D as D600.
I routinely connect two Canon cameras (5DMKII and 7D) simultaneously. They both appear in the Pulldown in the upper left of the Tether dialog. I can switch between them (via Mouse) with no problems. Mac or PC?
PC, the problem is two same cameras, their name cant be changed in camera, so Lr sees only one. Thats my opinion. Though Iam not able to change it anyhow and cant figure out how to do so in Lr
When you look at Windows Devices and Printers do both cameras show up when connected?
Yes, I checked that, cameras are charged, connected properly, drivers installed, Windows sees them.
If you plug in each camera by itself, do they both work tethered?
Yes, I tried full functionality for both cameras and its all right separately
