If you purchased your Premiere Elements 11 as a download from Adobe, the installation files that you have are specific to the computer operating system to which the installation files were downloaded. So, if you downloaded them to a Windows computer, those purchased installation files and their serial number will not work on a Mac computer. If you want purchased Premiere Elements 11 Mac and its serial number, that translates into another purchase from wherever you can find the version still in stock.
The only way you could have escaped the situation that you are in now was to have purchased the boxed packaging of 11 which comes with installation discs, one for Windows and one for Mac.
It is not clear to me how you got Photoshop Elements Windows installed on Mac.
You probably would want to confirm this with Adobe via its Adobe Chat. But, the above I have always found to be the case for Premiere Elements. And, I have dealt with a lot of its versions.
Looking forward to the outcome.
I did purchase the boxed set, includes both Mac and Windows disks. Strangely, it did not ask for s/n when I installed Elements on the Mac. The box came with a Redemption Code to retrieve the serial numbers and that is what I used.
I appreciate your reply, I hope there is a way to do this without having to buy it again.

Thanks for the reply with a lot of helpful information.
If you purchased the box packaging and have the Mac installation disc, then the serial number for Premiere Elements 11 Windows and Premiere Elements 11 Mac will be the same. You should be in a good place.
If you cannot find that one serial number now, please do this....
a. Go to the Adobe web site, sign in there, and go to the Search field at the top right of the page.
b. In the Search field, type in My Products. Then following the My Products to a list of what Adobe
has as your products.
c. You should find your Adobe Premiere Elements 11. Click on the name Adobe Premiere Elements 11 to reveal the serial number.
Make sure that you are not confusing a redemption code with the serial number. What you find at Adobe should help us to figure this out.
That should work. Please let us know the outcome.
Thank you so much. I had followed directions on the Redemption Code card, but, I wrote down a 1 instead of a 3. I followed your suggestion and saw my mistake, plus, I printed instead of writing it.
It is people like you that keep me from going crazy trying to solve my computer (my mistakes) problems and I want to thank you again for taking your time to share your expertise.
