I've been working in a document of some 175 pages in which the client would like to delete a blank page from the beginning, hoping to move everything else up (or over, whichever way you look at it). When I delete the page, nothing moves. If I try to move all the pages in one action, InDesign locks up and I have to restart. The only other option I've thought of is manually moving each page, but that would take way too much time (and, subsequently, cost the company a lot of money). I could also insert my text boxes into this blank page, but then I have to go through and reflow the entire document. Is there a simple way to delete this page and have everything shift without having to go through and reflow every single page again?
In your pages pallet menu, make sure that Allow Selected Pages to Shuffle, and Allow Document Pages to Shuffle are both checked.
I take it your document is threaded. You can do it by unthreading the page you want to delete, delete it and then threading again the pages. You can do this easily with a plugin from Rorohiko: https://www.rorohiko.com/wordpress/indesign-downloads/textstitch/. Read the instructions carefully.
