grey area if click at web content

    Maren Engel Community Member

I have got Edge Animate animations in my folio.

When I click at the iPad on an animation, it appears a gray half transparent area shortly. The animation works correctly.

The grey area is as big as my stage in Edge Animate. If I let my fingers longer at the animation, the grey area stays so long until I drop my fingers.

Is it possible that this grey area doesn't appear?

          Hi Maren,

Have you placed the .html or .oam version of your Animate file in your folio? If you're using the .oam, my suggestion is to turn the transparency of the file to 0%. It's a funny quirk of .oams in DPS. Then, for both the .oam and .html versions, make sure you've checked the Transparent Background box in the HTML Overlay panel.

Your problem may also stem from not having set the background in your Edge Animate file to transparent. As the default setting for a new file in Animate is grey, try setting the background color to transparent under the Stage panel.

            Hi Brice,

            Thanks for your help.

The problem was in Edge Animate. I set the action 'sym.play();' on the stage instead on an element. So with every 'click' appears the grey area.

Now it is OK and your thoughts helped me to think everything over.
