use the jpegencoder class to encode your jpeg and the urlloader class to send to your asp. eg, to save mc:
var bmpd:BitmapData=new BitmapData(mc.width,mc.height);
var jpegEnc:JPEGEncoder = new JPEGEncoder(75);
var jpegDat:ByteArray = jpegEnc.encode(bmpd);
var ldr:URLLoader=new URLLoader();
var header:URLRequestHeader = new URLRequestHeader ("Content-type", "application/octet-stream");
var url:URLRequest = new URLRequest ("youraspfile.asp?name=snapshot.jpg");
url.method = URLRequestMethod.POST;
url.data = jpegDat;
in php the image data is
so you'll need to translate that to asp and save it to a file named by the name variable sent via GET.
Wow, what a detailed response!
I will try to work with it and I'll update.
p.s when using the adobe forums, please mark helpful/correct responses, if there are any.
Oh, sorry. I thought I should wait and see if really helped, and then specify the correct answer. Is not it?
On the contrary, I'd love to know!
