I can verify that CC 2014 is having major speed issues.
Renders are about double the length of time compared to CC.
Verified this on multiple workstations in our studio.
Using the current version of CC 2014 (13.1.1) on all workstations.
All machines have at least 16GB of RAM. Most are 24GB or higher.
After Effects CC 2014 is the only app open.
Dynamic link is turned off when rendering.
Not using multicore rendering.
Ray-tracing is turned off. (Classic 3D)
Tested using Secret Menu to purge every 48 frames as well... no change.
Tested also with Secret Menu with layer caching turned on/off.
Plenty of RAM stays free during renders.
Workstations are Mac Pros 8-core or better Xeons.
2010 or newer workstations, including the new Mac Pros (12-cores with D700's and 64GB RAM)
All are running Mac OS X 10.9.4 or 10.9.5
