I'm working in a very large document with many links and styles. I have one page that I cannot touch at all without the whole program freezing.
I have tried everything listed on the InDesign troubleshooting page, but I cannot locate preferences files to reset them. Perhaps this is because I am using InDesign CC?
I have tried this file on other computers, including PCs and this page still makes the program freeze.
I've tried saving it under different names and deleting this page, but both also cause the program to freeze. I cannot even save it as a IDML file. It gets to about 78% done and then stops. When I try to package it, it gives me a font error dialogue.
How can I fix this file?
The prefs are hidden files, so you need to know how to show them. For Mac, see Access hidden user library files | Mac OS 10.7 and later
But if the probelm persists on multiple computers it's a document problem, not prefs. Possibly a bad font, style, or text frame, but hard to know. See Remove minor corruption by exporting and even Adobe Community: File Crashing on Output - printing/PDF/other
