New to Captivate and trying to figure out how to edit multiple text captions on one slide linked from images as answers to FAQs

If you click File > Save as, is the file type CPTX or it it CPVC?

There could be a couple of approaches that were used. You could find that there are multiple slides running up and down the left side of the application, This area would be called the Filmstrip. It could be that on Slide one there is a clickable area that transports the user to perhaps Slide two, where a question and an answer appear.

Or, another approach may be that this is all pretty much happening on one slide. If that's the case, likely Advanced Actions are being used to hide and show objects on the slide.

Can't say for sure which it is without seeing the project first hand or possibly a screen capture of the application.

Definitely advanced actions are used to show/hide objects and many text captions are in the same location. You got the best approach, hide the text captions above the one (in the timeline) that you want to edit.
