knappjs Sep 27, 2014 8:20 PM (in response to sariconlv)I have similar issues for a few months with CC2014. I'm on a 2013 MacBook Pro w/ Retina display. Premiere seems to do okay on it's own, but when After Effects is open, things start getting squirrely....particularly if there is a dynamic link. I've been eking by, frequently clearing my cache, restarting, and rebooting.

Mark Mapes Sep 27, 2014 9:39 PM (in response to knappjs)In some cases, the OS is errantly listing QT32Server as not responding when it's actually functioning fine. Note that I emphasized "some."
As to the performance problems when both AE and PPro are running, this thread might be relevant: Dynamic Link slow in After Effect CC 2014 (Version 13.0)

knappjs Sep 28, 2014 10:11 AM (in response to Mark Mapes)Thanks, Mark, I'm glad that Dynamic Linking issues are on the bug fix list for the next update! Also good to see that you guys caught the eyedropper bug, too.
When I launch Premiere CC2014, I can see on the Activity Monitor that both instances of 'Adobe QT32 Server' start, then turn to "Not Responding". These are issues that could be related to this (or not):
•Hangs up/freezes, especially when Dynamic linking to AE
•Picture will not play, although media shows green bar (rendered)
•Frequent “Media Pending” or “Media Missing”, or just shows up black, although media shows green bar (rendered)
•QT32 crash/not responding
•Export to Adobe Audition: never leaves ‘preparing’ stage (rebooted cured this)
•Hangs/crashes on certain plug-ins, esp. FXFactory
•When exporting to AME queue, one or both programs often crash.
•”Not Responding” when trying to quit unresponsive program
Sorry to hijack this thread, but I'd appreciate any feedback or further suggestions that you may have. Btw, I already dumped Soundflower...no effect.

Kevin Monahan Sep 28, 2014 11:33 AM (in response to knappjs)Hi Knappjs,
You might try making sure that your permissions are set correctly in Adobe folders: Premiere Pro CC freezing on startup or crashing while working (Mac OS X 10.9, and later)
If the above doesn't work, you might also try uninstalling FX Factory and see if that helps.
Thanks,
Kevin

Philipp M Nov 11, 2014 6:20 PM (in response to Kevin Monahan)I am having the exact same issues as the original poster. Media is not connecting properly or loading forever (yellow media warning) and Adobe QT 32 server is crashing. This also prevents my system from re-booting properly.
I am on OS X 10.10 and Premiere 8.1 (CC2014).
This is an extremely annoying bug that also seems to appear on our 10.9.5 machines. Never happened with the previous (CC) version of Premiere. I am hoping you guys are looking into this.
