    Automatic fullscreen video

    JotaSolano

      Hello!

      I have a video with automatic playback on my timeline after I trigger a button with a Click Event. I would like this video to play in full screen mode from the start (with no need to click the full screen button on the video's playback bar). Is there a way to code this? Or what would a workaround be? (maybe I can have a trigger on the timeline that will launch the full screen)?

      Any help is greatly appreciated.

      Thank you!

          Hi JOtaSolano,

          Does this article http://demosthenes.info/blog/777/Create-Fullscreen-HTML5-Page-Background-Video provide you with some clues?

          Thanks,

            That indeed helps some. I should add this code in the "_edge.js" file right? (there's no way to edit this css inside edge since it only edits the "_edgeActions.js" file.

            However, I noticed this is not standard CSS syntax (the one used on the automatically generated file, since it's actually .js). Should I create a .css file or how could I add this? I'm sorry, I'm not a programmer, I'm a designer with some programming knowledge so maybe my question is a bit silly.

            So far this is the only reference I found of the video throughout all the files:

                        {

                            id: 'testVideo',

                            type: 'video',

                            tag: 'video',

                            rect: ['22px', '-463px','756px','425px','auto', 'auto'],

                            controls: 'controls',

                            autoplay: 'autoplay',

                            source: ['media/270814_Testrender.mp4'],

                            preload: 'auto'

                        }],

            If this is the code I should add (from that link you sent me):

            video#bgvid {

            position: fixed; right: 0; bottom: 0;

            min-width: 100%; min-height: 100%;

            width: auto; height: auto; z-index: -100;

            background: url(polina.jpg) no-repeat;

            background-size: cover;

            }

            How should I format it?

            Thanks again!
