A couple of possibilities:
--If you are specifying "Add" at the top, you won't see that section.
--If you are specifying Move or one of the Copies, you may need to right-click on one of the headers that does show and click on 'Destination'.
There must be a card available to import from in order for the destination section to display. If no card has been inserted, or no camera has been connected, you can only use the "Add" Option by choosing from existing folders of images in the left-hand column.
If a card is inserted or a camera is connected, and you still cannot see the destination, right-click or Cmd/click or whatever you do on a Mac, on one of the other headings in the right-hand column. Ensure that there is a checkmark in the box for Destination.
Thank you! That helped! Thanks again!
This helped! Thank you! One other quick question, I used to be able to move images from my card to LR and the images would still be on my card. Lately though, the images import to the correct folder, but the images are gone from my card. Do you know what I may have done to change this? Thank you Jim!
I have never experienced nor heard of Lightroom deleting files from the card following import. In fact some have requested such a feature, and the reply has been that it's best not to do that just in case there is a problem with the import process. So if you are importing using Lightroom your images should not be deleted from the card automatically. Sorry, I don't have an answer.
