Hi kleventhal and welcome to our community
I stand to be corrected here, but I think Visio creates graphic images using the .PNG format. I think the answer is to open the images in a different image editor and simply save them again in the same format. For some reason, I think RoboHelp doesn't care much for the Visio version of .PNG.
I think the native format is .VSD or similar but there are options to save in a number of other formats including .PNG .GIF and .JPG
Are these Word documents related to RoboHelp or are they standalone and you are just using RoboPDF as a PDF creation tool?
I suspect the latter or you would be having problems with RoboHelp as well. Rather than think about changing the format that was used in Word, it might be easier to try using one of the many free PDF tools available to see if they give a better result.
Peter's right. The default file extension for Visio is .VSD but this in itself is not an image format. Use the Save As feature to save the file in an image format other than PNG.
Thank you to everyone. We had hoped to save some money by using RoboPDF. But, in the end, my boss decided to buy Acrobat 8.
I appreciate all your assistance.
Let's hope that works. :-)
Well at least Adobe will be making some extra bucks from this malfunction ;-). Maybe reinvest it some RH6 development? Kidding of course, RH6 works great for me but some more development would be nice!
