You can never remove the Adobe watermark from an export from the Premiere Elements tryout, be it an export to file saved to the computer hard drive or a burn to disc.
But, you can remove the Adobe watermark from the Premiere Elements tryout project file (project.prel) after you purchase the product. There are two ways that this is possible
a. The classical way is to open the tryout project file in the purchased product, go to Timeline Menu/Delete Rendered Files, and click on Delete Rendered Files. The job is done.
b. Many of us have found that just opening the tryout project file in the purchased product automatically removes the Adobe watermark.
Apparently "b" has not worked for you. Please let us know if "a" does. Also, please let us know if all this time you have been trying to remove the Adobe watermark from an export from the tryout rather than the project file.
Thanks ATR for that answer. Unfortunately neither solution works for me! I've also noticed in "Help\About" that the s/w version is still shown as trial version. Is it something in the registry? By the way I'm on Windows XP.
Thanks for the reply.
Please look under Help Menu/. In the choices there, does it show Help Menu/Sign In or Help Menu/Sign Out?
You may have a Sign In/Activation problem. If you find Help Menu/Sign In, please do that, and let us know the results.
We will decide what next based on your report.
I have the same problem.
I have purchased the soft, and got a serial number. Each time I launch AEP I have to enter again the serial number and nothing happens. Just yesterday I have worked once on a project without any problem, and now the project is in "trial version". I have checked in the help menu, I am connected with the right login.
And I can't reach anybody by phone in France to help me...
OK ATR, I really appreciate your help on this.
Since our last encounter I've uninstalled, removed all traces of Premiere 12 from the registry and installed from scratch. To no avail.
The program asks me to login to my adobe account each time I open it. I'm informed that there's a problem with the site's (2) certificate but nevertheless....
Under help/about the prog is still shown as trial version
In the help menu I can see log in but going through the process again doesn't make any difference. Whatever file I import into Premiere Elements it's marked as trial version.
Please check out the following two blog posts to see if any of the solutions will work for you in the likelihood that we are dealing with an activation issue.
If all else fails and while Premiere Elements is still the current version, it is a good idea to involve Adobe in this via its Adobe Chat. For that, click on following link.
Adobe ID, Signing In
Adobe ID, Sign In, Account Help
I have set the above link for Chat Panel. If the set does not hold, then you will need to navigate to Chat Panel using the above titles as guides.
As of a few moments ago, the Chat Panel was shown as available.
Please review and let us know the outcome.
Thanks for the follow ups.
Please see my reply to rogdav.
Please let us know if any of what I wrote in post numbered 7 will help you also.
We will be watching for your progress.
I'm afraid I have very little patience with software that doesn't work as
it should straight 'out of the box'. I may return to this problem later but
I'm currently on holiday so can't offer any progress reports. I will be
watching this thread with interest to see if I should continue with
Premiere Elements or find a simpler option.

Thanks for the reply.
When your holiday is concluded and you have time to consider your program direction, please consider
a. If you purchased Premiere Elements 12 from Adobe direct, you have 30 days from date of purchase for a refund. If you purchased from a reseller, then you need to contact the reseller and be governed by its return/refund policy.
b. There is supposed to be a new version of the program released at the end of September 2014 which translates into any day now.
When the new version is released, watch for any announcement regarding exchange of 12 for new version if the 12 date of purchase meets Adobe time frame.
Adobe has done this in the past, and I am assuming it will do that now. But not sure, since we are not Adobe.
We will be watching for further developments when you get a chance.
