Arrow appearing as a character in some tagged files

      Hi Team,

I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro 11. In some of my tagged files, the symbol of arrow is appearing as letter 'g' when viewed in the tag tree.

In other files, the symbol of arrow is appearing correctly as an arrow in the tag tree. I am not able to find a solution to this issue.

      Any help will be appreciated.

          Hi Vishal,

Are you looking to fix the existing files or to avoid the problem in the future?

If the former, I would put each g-arrow character in a Span tag and apply a working arrow character (copy and paste from a different file) in the Actual Text attribute of each Span tag. Or, if you are brave and don't mind retagging, you could try using the Edit Text & Images tool to replace the g-arrow characters with working arrows.

If the latter, I think it would depend on how the PDFs were created. Using Word 2010, if I use the arrow from the Symbol character set, and create the PDF using the PDF Maker, it seems to work.

          Hope this helps,
