1. Re: Folio Product ID
Bob Bringhurst Sep 9, 2014 7:38 AM (in response to jessamoser)There are actually three different Product IDs. There's the app Product ID, which is also called the App ID or bundle ID. There's a folio-level Product ID that ties the purchase of an individual folio to an in-app purchase. And there's a subscription Product ID that entitles the user to a subscription duration.
The Product ID used when you publish your folio in Folio Producer is a folio-level Product ID. If it's free, it doesn't matter what that Product ID is, as long as it's unique (a common mistake is to use the same Product ID for different folios). This Product ID should be different from the App ID.
Example:
App ID: com.adobe.inspire
Product ID: com.adobe.inspire.2014October
Does that answer your question?

3. Re: Folio Product ID
Bob Bringhurst Sep 9, 2014 8:44 AM (in response to jessamoser)If I understand the situation correctly, you inherited an App ID that has hyphens in it. If so, that doesn't matter. When you create publish your folios, the Product IDs you specify don't need to match the App ID. The Product ID you specify in Folio Producer just needs to match the Product ID you specify in iTunes Connect when you set up the in-app purchase. Similarly, the Product IDs you specify in DPS App Builder for subscription durations need to be the same Product IDs you specify in iTunes Connect for subscription durations.
Here's an example:
App ID: com.publishing-house.my-app
Folio Product ID: com.publishinghouse.myapp.october2014
Subscription Product ID: com.publishinghouse.myapp.1year
