1. Re: Jerky animation effects when publishing to mp4
mark20044 Sep 11, 2014 10:01 AM (in response to MJTHFC)Captivate publishes MP4s at 15 frames per second by default and has no option in the settings to change this. There is a frame rate option (default 30), but that only applies to SWF output. While this does make for smaller video files, it also tends to make your eyes bleed.
Fortunately, there's a workaround: http://iconlogic.blogs.com/weblog/2012/11/adobe-captivate-6-fps-your-mp4s.html
While the blog post is from the Cp6 era, I can confirm that this works for Cp7 and Cp8. You just put this file in your Captivate directory (C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 8 x64\) and you're set!

MJTHFC Sep 12, 2014 2:26 AM (in response to mark20044)Wow, this actually works!! I'm using a Mac, but dropped the file into the application folder and it totally did the job!
Been searching for weeks for a solution. I'm indebted! Thank you
