Colorblind soft proofing shows you what your image would look like to a colorblind person with the type of color blindness in question.
Those are not profiles to be applied to a file e.g. for printing.
Could you elaborate on what you are planning to do?
Would a screen shot suffice for your purposes?
I am a color blind photographer who does gigapixel panoramic work. I am doing a form of manual HDR on these very large images, and I would like to apply a the Protanopia proofing filter to my final printed works so that I'm actually printing what I see, and sharing my perspective of the world. - So I do need to save the adjusted image, and they are very large gigapixel images so screen shot's aren't an option.
