    Creating online help

What would be the most efficient way to create online help systems based on contents you have in books created with Adobe Indesign? Rendering the content in .epub file formats would principally seem like a sensible intermediary step. But .epub as well as .pdf requires a separate reader. I'd want something that can load directly in the user's browser, like WebHelp. Anyone know a solution? Or should one simply migrate to a different set of tools?
