I have today subscribed to Adobe pdf pack on the understanding that I would be able to merge word and excel documents easily and re-order the pages.
I had difficulty with format sizing when an excel document was merged with a word document.
More importantly I cannot find how to re-order the pages. How can I add a later page to a merged file?

In order to add a new page you need to combine it again to the existing file. you cannot add a file to an existing file using PDF PACK.
You certainly can do this using Acrobat PRO.
