Hi. Has anybody had any experience of printing a 'hot' red by overprinting Pantone 806 over a CMYK warm red. I've been advised by my printer that doing this will give a strong 'fluoro red' effect, but am a little wary of committing as they are unable to provide a sample of the finished print. Any thoughts on this much appreciated... thanks in advance.
Is the purpose to add a touch plate to image areas and increase the image gamut, or will it simply be an InDesign mixed ink color?
HI Rob. After further discussion with the prepress people at the printer, we are now abandoning the fluoro ink and printing Pantone 485 over 100 100 process red, this should give a super rich finish. The fluoro ink would probably have not given quite the look I wanted. Thanks for you interest.
