michaelgoshey Sep 15, 2014 8:39 AM (in response to anmairs)Hi,
What version of Prelude are you running?
Any version of Prelude CC and later supports logging GoPro media.
Thanks,
Michael

anmairs Sep 15, 2014 8:45 AM (in response to michaelgoshey)I just recently purchased Adobe CS6 Production Premium. I am not as avid of a movie maker as many others, so CS6 was definitely a better option in terms of pricing, however, i was never aware of the issue that Prelude had with GoPro footage!

michaelgoshey Sep 15, 2014 12:45 PM (in response to anmairs)As a work around you can transcode your GoPro footage into a different format that allows for the addition of metadata. I wish we had metadata support for GoPro in our older CS6 version of our video products (this is not a Prelude only limitation in CS6).
Thanks,
Michael

4. Re: GoPro MP4 files won't allow logging tags!
anmairs Sep 15, 2014 2:36 PM (in response to michaelgoshey)Alright thank you very much for your help! I thought about transcoding, but some of my footage has very high frame rates (60 fps). Are there options in adobe media encoder for transcoding videos to higher frame rates than 30 fps? I only noticed HD 1080p with a frame rate of 29 fps so if I transcode my footage, my fps will diminish drastically inhibiting slow-motion videos. Any advice?
Sorry for the newbie questions. Still learning!

michaelgoshey Sep 16, 2014 5:24 AM (in response to anmairs)Hi -
Happy to help.
If you open up Adobe Media Encoder (AME) and select a preset (For example I just opened up the h.264 1080p 29.97 preset) - you can select the VIDEO tab and change the frame rate. In the version of AME I have here there is an option for 1080p 60.
Hope this helps -
Michael
