I'm having some issues with my swatch library in InDesign. I've set up a couple of colour groups with swatches in them to load as default, and this works fine when creating new documents, however they don't load into previously saved documents and don't show up at all.
I've cleared preferences and that hasn't worked either, any ideas what to try? I just want them to stay persistent in my swatch library for all documents (same as the default swatches do at the moment).
Default swatches don't load into already created documents. If they did, if would be hard to keep a clean Swatch Pallet; any colors I didn't need and had deleted would come back every time I re-opened it.
You will have to use Load Swatches, and choose a document that contains the new swatches to import them from.
Thanks SRiegel, I guess that makes sense, though I was hoping that InDesign would have an option like the persistent swatches in Illustrator (which would be handy in my situation, only having to work with a few specific swatches across the work I'm doing). I'll just do it the manual way as advised instead!
