It sounds like your issue is the one addressed here -- it's a simple fix but you will need to republish your projects.

Since I don't have access to all 48 captivate source files needed for this project, I manually programmed commands in one of the main .js files associated with the HTML5 output. This solution is from Jim Leichliter and here is his blog post HTML5 Captivate Projects Freezing in Google Chrome v. 36 + - CaptivateDev.com. Someone very helpful from my Linkedin group recommend it.
