This could be a lot of things. I am assuming that you are trying to install AE using the Creative Cloud app and that the Creative Cloud app is the most current build? If that is the case then let is know exactly what steps you are following when you try and run the install.
Yes, I am trying to install AE Through the Creative Cloud app. And yes, I have only just installed the Creative Cloud. The exact steps I am taking are:
First I click on the "apps" tab in the Creative Cloud window, this brings up the list of available trials. Next, I click on the "Try" button next to "After Effects CC (2014)", the installation only gets to 43%. The button "Installation Failed - Learn More".
So when I click on the "Lean more" button, it shows me this error.
Run the cleaner tool and try again. The media DB error means that you have an installation package from another Adobe product on the system that is incompatible and you need to start from scratch.
