After you override the master item on the page, it retains all of the aspects on the document page that you don't change. So, if you change the size or geometry of the frame on the document page, changing it on the master page won't have any effect. If all you need to do is release the text frame to fill it with type, you can still control it's size and position via the master-page frame. If you do need to change the size each time you release and add text, I'm not aware of a way to still control it from the master page.
Wow thanks, i didnt know that, i thought overriding caused the text box to completely lose track of the master.
I dont need to change the size for each page. i was just wondering what if i wanted to change the layout as a whole later on. Thanks again for clearing that up. cheers.
Why don't you create a second master for those pages?
