After trying to add gifs in Adobe After effects I was given the error "After Effects error: file 'Flag.gif' cannot be imported - this '.gif' file is damaged or unsupported."
I then noticed every gif without transparency imported just fine. The gifs without transparency were given the error. Is there a way to fix this?
I'm running Windows 8 12gb ram with a 3.7ghz processor if speed would for any reason have to do with this.
Open your animated GIF in Photoshop change the color space to RGB, save it as a PSD and import as a composition.
Trim and sequence the layers to turn the composition into a movie. This gives you a better quality and more options than trying to work with GIFs directly. It will work with any animated GIF.
