Hide a topic from Search results?

Is there a way in RH HTML X5 to prevent a topic from appearing in the Search results?

      Thanks in advance,
      Kevin

          Hi Kevin

One way to do this is to sneak behind RoboHelp's back and rename the topics you wish to exclude by changing the file extension to .XHTM. At this point, the topics display as missing in action from RoboHelp's perspective. So back inside RoboHelp, you just delete them from the Project Explorer view.

Once you have done this, they still exist on your hard drive (you, um, ARE working from your hard drive and not the network, right? ;) Now our job is to make RoboHelp aware of them, yet not include them in the mix when the search is created. To do this, you use the Baggage files function. You right-click the Baggage files pseudo folder and import them back into the project as baggage.

          Cheers... Rick

            Wow, Rick...that IS sneaky :)

            I'll give that a try.

            Thanks!
