Edit Externally File Naming: section
Change the Template
It seems that whatever I place in the file name template is applied to edits made from ALL other external editors. Can we not have each editor have its own file name template? Would like the file name to show which external editors have been applied i.e., filename-DxO-Define.tif showing at a glance that DxO and Nik's Define have already been applied.
Maybe I'm doing it wrong? I select the file name template I want to use, then Update the external editor preset. Then go on to another external editor and select a different file name template, Update the preset. Go back and use the first editor and it puts the file name template of the 2nd editor instead of the one associated with the correct editor.

The Template is applied to all files sent to any external editor. If you want some other suffix you'll need to add it manually to the file name after that file returns to LR. Fairly simple to do with the Rename option.
Thank you for the clear explanation. I wish Adobe would change LR to allow each editor to have its own template.
