have you submitted the crash log upon restart?
I clicked the report button immediately, but the crash happened so fast, I hope it went through. I tried this several times. I notice Lightroom has not been updated for iOS 8 and suspect there is an issue beyond my crash.

I've been able to reproduce this issue, and have logged a bug internally.
We are now investigating. Unfortunately it seems as if the fastest way to get around this issue is to reinstall the application.
