I recorded some movies on my sd card, couldn’t see them when done, so I recovered them with the sd card RecoveRx software. I did indeed recover them and I can now see the ftyp.mov files, but when I try and play them on my Mac, Quicktime Player opens and the movies seem to play, but it is a black screen.
Any thoughts on how to get these files to play on my Mac OS 10.9.4?
You will have to be much more specific like what camera you used to record them and so on. In any case you should let the reality sink in that they may be damaged beyond hope and will never display anything beyond a soothing black...
I used a Canon rebel tsi and a transcend 32 gb sd card. Files were not seen on the video card, so I downloaded RecoveRx software from the transcend site and indeed recovered the ftyp.mov files which are now on my computer. When itty and play them on my mac, quicktime player opens and the files start to play, but all I see is black and hear static.
