1. Re: Will ink and slide ever be available to work with Adobe Ideas?
iheartvideo Sep 25, 2014 10:26 AM (in response to FernandaGo)Ink should work with Adobe Ideas as a passive stylus. In other words, it will allow you to draw and tap, but pressure sensitivity and palm rejection are not currently supported. If Ideas is not recognizing Ink, make sure Ink is on by holding down the button until the LED turns on and goes through the rainbow sequence.
We are continuing to add Ink & Slide functionality to Adobe's mobile apps and will announce support as it becomes available. Please stay tuned. Thanks!

No it doesn't.... It still gives you the Jot stylus error when you try and connect it.

iheartvideo Sep 29, 2014 1:31 PM (in response to loose1d)My apologies, I should have been clearer. It will work without connecting it as long as it's on. Just try using it once it's on without going to the pen connect menu. Thanks!

loose1d Sep 30, 2014 1:30 AM (in response to iheartvideo)Sorry Staff+
Doesn't even work that way.
As soon as you set the pen down anywhere while in Ideas you get the error message. The only option you have thereafter is to click "disconnect".
Very dissapointed by a product I was very excited to use...

6. Re: Will ink and slide ever be available to work with Adobe Ideas?
iheartvideo Oct 2, 2014 4:50 PM (in response to FernandaGo)I'm sorry you're still having problems. One more thing to try: In the pen menu (accessed from top right nav), make sure that the option for "Pressure Sensitive Stylus" is off, as it is in the attached photo. This should allow you to use Ink as a passive stylus (without pressure sensitivity & palm rejection). If Ideas does not recognize Ink once you've turned off the "Pressure Sensitive Stylus" option, hold down the button on Ink until the LED flashes through the rainbow sequence (ensuring that it is on). Hopefully that works?

FernandaGo Oct 5, 2014 9:15 PM (in response to iheartvideo)It worked, I had to hold down the button on Ink until the LED flashed, but it finally worked.
Thanks!

iheartvideo Oct 10, 2014 7:34 AM (in response to FernandaGo)Happy to hear it finally worked!
Btw, in case you didn't hear, we announced at MAX that the new revamp of Ideas, Adobe Illustrator Draw, now supports Ink & Slide! I couldn't share this before we made the announcement but wanted to make sure you heard the good news. If you download Draw, you'll be able to use the full capabilities of Ink & Slide, instead of having to use the workaround we've been discussing. Happy drawing!
