trillium68 Sep 26, 2014 9:35 AM (in response to RodWard)I did as you said, but the closed captioning still did not display. Am I supposed to do anything else besides assigning the system variable?

RodWard Sep 26, 2014 7:42 PM (in response to trillium68)Maybe you need to set up some Closed Captioning? Did you add voiceover audio and synchronise Closed Captioning to it?

4. Re: Closed Captioning/Captivate 6
trillium68 Sep 29, 2014 8:43 AM (in response to RodWard)It works now! I didn't reallize you needed to literally insert the number 1 when assigning the variable...I thought I just needed to choose the variable on slide 1. Thanks much for your help...I can now demo the e-learning to my client!

5. Re: Closed Captioning/Captivate 6
MarrUser Oct 28, 2014 7:36 AM (in response to RodWard)Great! Now, is there a way to turn off CC on slides that do not have it? Basically, would like to auto turn it on when a slide has cc and then auto close it when a slide does not. Using CP8, but the instructions for the above version seems to work as well.

6. Re: Closed Captioning/Captivate 6
Captiv8r Oct 28, 2014 8:15 AM (in response to MarrUser)Hi there
Yep, the cpCmndCC is like a light switch.
Earlier in this thread RodWard advised:
Use the On Slide Enter event to Assign cpCmndCC system variable to 1.
This would turn on the CC. So to turn it off, just do this:
Use the On Slide Enter event to Assign cpCmndCC system variable to 0
Cheers... Rick
