    save contact sheet problem???

    SausalitoDog Level 2

I suddenly have a problem saving contact sheets made by selecting files in bridge cc (2014) and using the Tools, Photoshop, Contact Sheet II command to make the contact sheet.

It prints fine but when I try to save it I get the following response (I have check permissions and all of the permissions are set to Read & Write):

      >>Could not save as “ContactSheet-001.psd” because the file is locked, you do not have necessary access permissions, or another program is using the file. Use the ‘Get Info’ command in the Finder to ensure the file is unlocked and you have permission to access the file. If the problem persists, save the document to a different file or duplicate it in the Finder.<<

I'm using a MacBook Pro retina with the latest Mavericks and the Photoshop and Bridge are updated in creative cloud photographer's subscription.

      Any thoughts greatly appreciated...

Try changing the folder, disk or the file name to make sure the file you trying to save does not exists and is locked. Can you save the layered document else where?

            John-

Thanks for the tip. The must have been something screwy with the files. I checked that they were unlocked and they were, so I thought it must be a problem with the Contact Sheet II extension...but it had to be the files. I had grabbed a few plant images from Google images and wanted to make a small proof sheet of them to identify similar plants at a nursery...just wouldn't work and rarely use Google images so not worth more of my/your time.

CC is working fine and that was my real worry.

            Cheers,
