Bob Levine Sep 30, 2014 5:03 AM (in response to stubs2345)My $0.02 is that for limited distribution for retina devices, it's okay to
use 2048x1356 PNG folios. The real benefit here is that the pages don't have
to be rendered as PDF. The drawback is that there will be no pinch and zoom.

4. Re: InDesign doc set to 2048 or 1024 for retina displays?
Neil Enns - Adobe Sep 30, 2014 9:54 AM (in response to Bob Levine)I would still use 1024x768 as PDF. PNG folios at 2048x1536 are gigantic and a painful download experience for your readers.

Bob Levine Sep 30, 2014 9:57 AM (in response to Neil Enns - Adobe)Generally, I would agree with that but I did one recently for a client for a very targets sales piece. They weren’t happy with the rendering time for the PDF folios and only had a few iPad3 devices for it.
