What exactly are the symptoms? What is the complete error message, word-for-word?
Usually, the easiest solution is to restore a recent backup of your catalog file.
I'm not sure how to preform a backup because it won't let me open the
catalog at all. Attached is a picture of what happens when I try to open
Picture didn't show up ... you can only attach pictures via the web interface, not via e-mail smartphones or tablets
You should have been making regular backups since you started using Lightroom, are you not doing this?
