This is my first time using InDesign to create a full page full color print ad. The specifications I was given for layout dimensions is:
This program is printed OFFSET on matte stock at 133 lpi.
Dimensions are listed as follows (W x H)
Trim Size 7.5” x 10”
Full Page Bleed 7.5” x 10”
In Document Setup would I customize the page size to 7.5 x 10 and also adjust the bleed settings? What would my bleed setting be? 1 inch all around?
Also, when saving the digital PDF file should I include the bleed marks for the print company?
Thanks in advance for any help with this. I am not a graphic designer and have no clue what any of this means!
Ask the printer how much bleed he needs. Here in Germany it varies from 1mm (0.04 inch) to 5mm (0,2 inch) on each side.
Modern printers don't need visible marks as the boxes are saved into the PDF. But better is to ask the printer.
