You should be able to just copy your swf file into your web root directory. What kind of errors are you getting?
this is my error
[RPC Fault faultString="HTTP request error" faultCode="Server.Error.Request" faultDetail="Error: [IOErrorEvent type="ioError" bubbles=false cancelable=false eventPhase=2 text="Error #2032: Stream Error. URL: ../data/data.xml"]. URL: ../data/data.xml"]
at mx.rpc::AbstractInvoker/ http://www.adobe.com/2006/flex/mx/internal::faultHandler()
another thing is that it works fine in my documents Adobe Flex folder, but when I copy it out of there and put it somewhere else, it does not work, I can't just copy one swf, because i have an rss feed that it is reading it from, and rss feed is located in the folder data.
I hope you understood, but if you did not please let me know!
Anybody out there, can help me???
It looks like you are using HTTPService with url="../data/data.xml" and I believe the problem is the relative path. That's not really a good URL. When you are running from your own directory that's fine, but when it comes from the web, I would make it an absolute path. I'm not sure what that would be for you, but if your set up is something like:
Then set the url="/data/data.xml"
I appreciate your answer,
I will try!
I tried what you told me, but it does not seem to be working.
Okay How about this, let me ask this, if I created a project in flex builder, then how do I embed it in my web site?
which files do I need, what do I need to change? Is there some kind of an option that I can export files, or publish files?
Thanks in advance,
