Thanks for getting back to me. I did find that article on codecs earlier and the shot below is what I got using G-spot. I have tried to open an mp.4 file from another decvice in PrE11 and had the same result. The camera I am trying to get the video from is a Panasonic WG-III. The video plays fine in normal playback programs like media player. Is this the info you were looking for?
At face value, the H.264.mov file should import into your Premiere Elements 11. By the way, on what computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 11 running?
The key initial question is "Do you have the latest version of QuickTime installed on your computer along with Premiere Elements 11?" That is a must do.
As a double check, please go to Publish+Share/Computer/QuickTime and assure that you see presets included for that choice. If not, sure thing, QuickTime issue. Just a reminder if you have not been there before - you need to scroll down the list of Publish+Share/Computer/ choices to reach QuickTime toward the bottom of the list. See thin scroll bar to the right of the list.
We will be watching for your follow up.
