1. Re: Story servers down. What's the ETA on repair?
lewis_adobe Oct 2, 2014 4:49 PM (in response to dtb.clay)Hi,
The Adobe Story Servers are not down, so we need more information about what issue you are seeing. Can you provide more information about what you are seeing when you go to story.adobe.com? What browser are you using? is the site not loading at all, or are you hitting an error when logging in? Thanks!

2. Re: Story servers down. What's the ETA on repair?
dtb.clay Oct 2, 2014 6:35 PM (in response to lewis_adobe)As another user reported, the site simply would not load. It acted as if my local network connection were down (browser generic "can't find this site" message), but there was no local network issue (other sites, including other Adobe sites, were accessible). I tried in both Chrome, and Firefox. Same result.
It appears to be resolved now, but my frustration with an online "requirement" remains. Get the Story Desktop app back in the CC Apps library so it's easily accessible, and can be run 100% offline. I shouldn't have to go hunt for the desktop version.

dtb.clay Oct 2, 2014 7:03 PM (in response to dtb.clay)I spoke too soon. Not resolved.
Still seeing "webpage is not available", but at least I see a login screen now. After login, I get the error message.
*Edit: Appears to be DNS related. Check there.

6. Re: Story servers down. What's the ETA on repair?
Mark_M_90501 Oct 2, 2014 11:22 PM (in response to lewis_adobe)Using Chrome 37.0.2062.124, Internet Explorer 11.0.9600.17278 and Safari 7.1, when I go to story.adobe.com I get a message saying DNS lookup failed.
If I try and go online with Story Plus it says my computer is not connected to the internet.
I chatted with Adobe help just now and he ran all kinds of diagnostics on my computer and nothing worked.
It also seems to be not just my computer but my laptop, my wife's laptop and my daughter's PC tablet all say the same thing.
Do you need any more info?

sunnyladkani Oct 3, 2014 6:29 AM (in response to Mark_M_90501)Hi,
We are facing some issues with the DNS mappings which we are investigating currently. The issue occurs for only few DNS sevices which are not directing users to story servers. Can you try changing your DNS server settings to use openDNS (See steps here: Use OpenDNS) and see if it works.
Regards,
Sunny
