I'm receiving this error when trying to open my catalog: "The Lightroom Catalog named "Catalog name" cannot be opened because another application already has it opened. Quit the other copy of lightroom before trying to launch". I don't have any applications opened. I searched for previous error messages and I DO NOT HAVE the file called ".lock". The catalog is 2 days worth of work and I hadn't backed it up before. the only files I have for it are .irdata and ircat. Please help.
.lock Is the extension for the file. The file name will be the same name as your catalog you have been using. Deleting the lock file is the usual solution for this problem. Do you have certain files hidden?
Hi Jim, Thanks for your reply! There is no .lock file. I can't find it as I said above. I wish it was there! How do I know if i have certain files hidden?
Please help.... I'd be so happy if you could call to walk me through it. I'm really freaking out. 209-914-3071
I searched for the hidden files using this link: Quickly Show/Hide Hidden Files on Mac OS X Mavericks | Ian Lunn - Front End Developer but no .lock file appeared. So disappointing.... Any other ideas?
