1. Re: Blue impossible to read
Shane P Oct 6, 2014 5:17 AM (in response to Jon-M-Spear)I personally am not having issues with the "blue" color with the exception of the CTI (Current Time Indicator) extending down through video tracks with the default Iris label color. Personally, I find it very hard to see.
IMO the time code could be a little brighter like the borders around the panels when a panel is selected. When I saw the YouTube video preview that Dave Helmsley did on the new release of PP I immediately hated the blue. IMO the yellow trim on the dark gray really popped and was easy on the eyes. But after installing and experimenting with the new update 2014.1 I am finding I like the new enhanced interface with the blue color with the a fore mentioned exception of CTI on Iris labeled tracks.

2. Re: Blue impossible to read
Jon_M Oct 6, 2014 7:02 AM (in response to Shane P)Adobe would appease users better by allowing the text colors of the interface to be a preference set by the user. After years of the same white primary, yellow secondary text colors, then a change to blue with no warning, I would assume, as it does me, is slowing down users workflow and making the composites and workflow feel uncomfortable as we try and finish ongoing projects. I find this a poor and unnecessary decision by Adobe to change this basic interface item and without selection or adjustment by the user.

Mark Mapes Oct 6, 2014 12:53 PM (in response to Jon_M)Jon: Please post a screenshot of the blue text you're referring to. The only blue characters I'm finding is in the timecode controls.

Kevin Monahan Oct 6, 2014 1:09 PM (in response to Jon_M)Hi Jon,
That's the After Effects UI, not Premiere Pro. Mark is on the Premiere Pro engineering team so please provide that feedback to the After Effects team.
Thanks,

afcdmc Oct 6, 2014 7:53 PM (in response to Jon-M-Spear)Hi I just update to the new version and I like the Blue!! BUT I notice that now the Sequence Icon in the project window and the footage Icon are BOTH BLUE!! In previous versions They were different Colors!!! I use A LOT of footage and the ICON COLOR was FASTEST WAY to recognise between a Sequence and Footage in a Window with hundreds of Items!!! PLEASE add an option to CHANGE THE COLOR SCHEME or at least leave the SEQUENCE AND FOOTAGE ICON COLOR HOW IT WAS!! DIFFERENT COLOR FOR DIFFERENTS TYPE OF ASSETS!!! It is easier to locate by just looking at a glance!! Not by taking notice of what Icon it is!! Hope this can be change in a NEAR update!!

Mark Mapes Oct 6, 2014 9:34 PM (in response to afcdmc)Very good point, afcdmc. I'll pass it along. It's worth submitting a bug report yourself--the more times management gets the same message, the more likely they are to prioritize the change. www.adobe.com/go/wish
